Teaching music is about guiding students throughout the discovery of their voice and emotional expression through sound. It’s not only about providing technique but about fostering a personal connection to music as an empowering middle. I'm honored to do so with every student I have the opportunity to work with.
Playing together during lessons brings this process into a shared experience, where the student and teacher engage in musical dialogue. This collaboration helps students develop the skills of listening, responding, and creating together, offering a powerful lesson in community and teamwork.
I am currently a graduate adjunct faculty member at NYU Steinhardt, where I teach non-major college students in violin and viola. My pedagogical training includes studying with Meghan Todt Williams at NYU and Antonello Farulli at the Scuola di Musica di Fiesole. For beginner-level students, I primarily follow Suzuki teaching methods, helping them build strong foundational skills and develop a love for music. Being an advanced student myself, I can relate to many of the challenges my own students face and guide them through them and the academic and pre-professional musical world from an updated and practical perspective.
