Orlando is currently pursuing a master's degree in viola performance under the tutelage of Stephanie Baer and Karen Ritscher at New York University Steinhardt, where he is also a graduate adjunct faculty member. At NYU, he also serves on the staff of Casa Italiana Zerilli-Marimò - the NYU foundation devoted to dialogue between the United States and Italian culture.
In April 2024, Orlando graduated from the Scuola di Musica di Fiesole, Italy, where he studied violin with Boriana Nakeva, viola with Francesca Piccioni, and chamber music with the Lyskamm Quartet.
Orlando's artistic development has been shaped by several notable musicians, including Vera Martinez-Mehner (Cuarteto Casals), Barnabas Kelemen, Yair Kless, Florian Donderer, Raphael Merlin (Ebene Quartet), Danusha Waskiewicz, German Tcakulov, and Naoko Tanaka.
During his undergraduate years, Orlando served as a student ambassador at the Scuola di Musica di Fiesole, contributing to the school's administrative and artistic direction on behalf of his peers.
In 2021, Orlando earned a degree in philosophy from the Università degli Studi di Firenze, having spent half of his studies at the University of Leeds in the United Kingdom.
Orlando is currently recipient of an NYU Steinhardt Music Talent Scholarship as well as the NYU Steinhardt Global Citizen Scholarship.
Orlando is fluent in Italian, English, and French.
